Anonymous: You should try working for independent publishers to gain some experience in publishing. They love experience and knowledge of the industry. Good luck!

That’s actually what a friend of mine (who works in publishing) suggested & what I planned on focusing on. But Penguin calling me back threw me & I’ll take what I can get! I believe I even jumped for joy in front of Grand Central Station…near the Gossip Girl set. lol

I’m still on the lookout out and sending my resume out to jobs as they get posted.
